About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Learning and Development Coordinator who is seeking a new challenge.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, management and evaluation of Fulham Correctional Centres (FCC) training programs and supporting Correctional Officers in their completion of their Certificate III in Correctional Practice.  Additionally, will be responsible for ensuring that Fulham Correctional Centre is maintaining the standards of the Registered Training Organisations (RTO) obligations as per the 2025 standards.


This role is also responsible for ensuring the effective financial management of the FCC training budget, for educating centre staff contractors and onsite visitors.

You will be responsible to:

  • Financial management of the annual FCC training budget.
  • Ensuring completion of training for staff, contractors and onsite visitors.
  • Liaise with internal managers and supervisors educating and coaching them on the development of employees.
  • Regular reporting to management on the utilisation and completion of training to meet organisational requirements.
  • Support and coordinate GEO trainers and instructors (Subject Matter Experts) to allow for successful facilitation of training packages. 

 

  • Development and maintenance of training materials within the learning management system.
  • Assist with other roles within the Human Resources team as directed by the Human Resources Manager.

About You

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to influence and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of stakeholders to ensure training compliance requirements are met and maintained.
  • Experience in quality assurance and compliance management for RTO programs.
  • High level administrative capability including ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional organisation and coordination skills.
  • Experience managing traineeships, apprenticeships or student programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in a people focused industry and able to demonstrate a high level of professional, interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated agility, team commitment, enthusiasm and a ‘growth mindset’ attitude to training.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining a robust document management system such as an electronic Learning Management System and/or Student Management System.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or higher) or willingness to achieve within first 12 months.
  • Demonstrated strong computer literacy and knowledge of information systems and Microsoft software including Teams, Excel, Power Point and Desktop Publishing.

 

 

Importantly, we are looking for someone who is proactive, able to work as part of a broader Human Resources Team and has strong communication skills in order to influence change and engage employees.
