Senior Human Resources Officer

Fulham Correctional Centre – Sale, Victoria

Full-Time | up to $123,786 + Super

 

About the Opportunity

This isn’t your average HR Officer role. This is a launchpad into HR leadership.

As our Senior Human Resources Officer, you’ll work closely with the Human Resources Manager to bring clarity, consistency and innovation to our workforce practices starting with streamlined recruitment and employee lifecycle processes. You’ll coach and support a small HR team, act as a trusted advisor to departmental leaders and become a critical part of the engine room that drives our Centre’s success.

This role is perfect for someone who’s eager to stretch their capability, gain strategic exposure and make their mark on a complex and fast-paced workplace. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced human resources professional. 

 

What you'll do

  • Implement robust and consistent HR processes across the Centre
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment with confidence
  • Coach and support direct reports across HR, Admin and Rostering
  • Partner with departmental managers on performance and workforce planning
  • Provide clear and timely guidance on policies, legislation, and IR matters
  • Work alongside the HR Manager to embed a strong, positive and engaged workplace culture

 

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as a HR Generalist in dynamic or complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of workplace legislation and award interpretation
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and coach others
  • A knack for structure, systems thinking and people-focused problem-solving
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources (AHRI membership a bonus)
  • Experience supervising or mentoring others is desirable
